Pets have been treated with loving care here for over 45 years. The tradition continues with more layers as we increase our focus on caring for the environment and supporting marginalized communities.
Simple Beginnings
Park Animal Hospital was founded in 1980 by Dr Mirek Hainish. He practiced out of the basement of the house next to the building we are currently in (which was built in 1989). Before that, the house was home to a "human doctor" and his practice.
Dr Hainish sold everything to Dr Gitte in 2010.

Family-run, independently-owned, and one-location-only means more transparency and less red tape. Our headquarters is right here in your neighbourhood.
We tailor preventive as well as sick-care to you and your pet. No corporate cookie-cutter models here because no two pets and no two pet parents are exactly alike.

We Are Green
Because we care about Planet Earth as much as we care about its inhabitants, this Park is GREEN all year! From plastic free toilet paper to recycled paper bags for your meds, we do what we can to minimize harm to the environment while helping pets.
We Give Back
In addition to regularly fundraising for the Farley Foundation and donating to OVC Pet Trust , we are the first and currently only veterinary collection site for Pets of the Homeless in the GTA. Members of our team routinely donate their time to helping pets of the vulnerably housed in downtown Toronto through Community Veterinary Outreach as well as remote communities across Ontario who lack access to veterinary care.
